Cathie Bachy, M. Ed.Leadership resilience from the inside outCathie Bachy is a certified professional coach with Newfield Network and the International Coaching Federation. She holds a BS degree from Georgetown University’s School of Languages and Linguistics and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from the University of Massachusetts. Cathie has trained in somatic coaching with Stuart Heller of Cultivating Excellence and with Richard Strozzi Heckler of the Strozzi Institute. She is also currently a Master’s candidate in Seattle University’s, Organizational Systems Renewal program. Cathie brings extensive experience working with leaders in both corporate and non profit organizations. For ten years, she managed the philanthropic arm of a global Fortune 500 company with a focus on supporting youth leadership initiatives in local communities. Cathie also serves on the board of The Pride Foundation. As a coach, Cathie specializes in working with professionals who want to achieve satisfying, successful careers while finding joy and balance in their lives. She works with professionals to develop leadership presence and effective communication skills. Cathie is a deep listener of the moods, language (spoken and unspoken), and physical presence of her clients. She works with her clients to develop an expanded awareness of their presence in the world and coaches her clients towards an embodiment of the future that they declare. Her roots as a first generation American, brought up by immigrant parents in the United States, have shaped her life to be one of curiosity and openness to multiple cultural and social narratives and perspectives. Originally from Washington DC, Cathie now lives with her family in Seattle, WA. She can often be found practicing with her Aikido jo in the hills overlooking misty Lake Washington and reciting her favorite Mary Oliver poems.
